Five years ago, the MPLS WG processed a draft on MPLS extensions to ICMP. The draft can be found at the following URL:

The draft cleared the MPLS WG and was implemented by many vendors, the IESG decide not to publish it because of "layer violation".
Ron will discuss ways forward and coordination with the Internet Area.
